Chapman Freeborn partners with Aviation Logistics Network

LBR Staff Writer Published 31 January 2012

Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has formed a new partnership with Aviation Logistics Network (ALN), an independent association of international logistics service providers specialising in the transportation of time-critical freight for the aerospace industry.

The deal will provide ALN clients with fast, effective 24-hour solutions to AOG situations worldwide - including cargo charters for engines and spare parts, as well as on board courier (OBC) services for small shipments.

Chapman Freeborn director of business development Pierre Van Der Stichele said the company is delighted to have the opportunity to work in partnership with ALN as the leading logistics organisation in its field.

"A grounded airliner can potentially cost its operator hundreds of thousands in lost revenue, and the ability to provide an urgent air charter or OBC service on a 24-hour basis is critical," Van Der Stichele said.

ALN MD Ralph Perkins said the decision by Chapman Freeborn to join with the company adds further value for its clients and provides the aerospace industry with a unique combination of service options for AOG, critical and routine logistic needs.
