FedEx expands SenseAware service

LBR Staff Writer Published 25 January 2012

FedEx has expanded the availability of its SenseAware powered by FedEx service which provides customers with near real-time tracking and increased visibility into their shipments.

SenseAware which is a tracking service was first deployed in 2009 to health care and life sciences industries, and is now available for customers in all industries, which include aerospace, the arts, financial institutions and more.

It provides near real-time data about customer shipments and the ability to share that information collaboratively with business partners.

The company said that SenseAware can be easily adopted without infrastructure or large managed-service commitments.

The added flexibility of the service device enables it to be used for single shipments or with large palletized shipments.
